This project is a custom built Squarespace website designed to showcase a whimsical cast of original characters through an interactive and visually engaging experience. While Squarespace sesrved as the foundation, I pushed beyond its native capabilities by injecting custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to display the SimpleBasics Forest Friends bios.  I also implemented external Amazon product links manually, since SquareSpace’s built-in Amazon integration is only available in the U.S market. 

To bring the world of these characters to life, I also helped design visual assets using Canva and incorporated hand-drawn digital illustrations that were animated using Canva for added charm. The site’s layout and UI elements were carefully styled to maintain brand consistency, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices.

Beyond its visual appeal, I also integrated Google Analytics to track user engagement, page views, and traffic sources, providing valuable insights into how visitors interact with the site. This includes campaign tracking, allowing me to monitor traffic driven by specific referral sources as social media posts and promotional links. Additionally, I generated custom QR codes linked to track URLs, making it easy to share the site in print and digital formats while capturing detailed analytics on scan-based visits.

This project reflects a blend of storytelling, design, and front-end development. Created for a client, it demonstrates my ability to work within platform constraints while tailoring the user experience through custom code, design tools, and original artwork. From concept to execution, I collaborated closely to bring their creative vision to life. The result is a playful, polished website that feels both personal and professional.
